If you have a large Revit Component library, you may want to create a document that lists the families and their details. Here is a link to a free app that I put together that creates a HTML file with images and other information, listing your library components.

I had this app written so that I could quickly document my library, and include it in an office manual. Others may find it useful as well.

The application has been developed and tested on Win7 64Bit / Revit 2011. Im not sure how it will go on other OS / versions. You need to run it on a PC that has Revit installed to get thumbnails.

Hope someone else finds it useful.

Seems like a good idea, so I figured I'd give it a try. It doesn't seem to be working for me though. I point it at our library folder on our server, give it a local path to save the html file, then click Create Logs. It says it's processing the first family in the folder, then hangs and eventually crashes.

Ive had a similar thing happen, when I point it at the root folder on my server. I think there is just too many folders to work through. Selecting a subfolder with less subfolders seems to work. I havnt tried it on XP64 either.

Try it on a subfolder and let me know how you go.

Tried it on a smaller subfolder, still no dice. Hangs on the first family.
