I am working on an existing building, and we are adding new windows to the facade. Revit cuts the windows out of the wall correctly (most of the time), and two dashed lines appear in place of the solid wall on the demo plans. But, the demo plan does not show the sides of the new opening, making it hard for the contractor to see the edges of the opening he must cut - the solid lines of the existing wall to remain and the dashed lines tend to run together. Is there a way within the window family to create a line (a symbolic line?) for the edge of the opening?

Just tested it. The edges will show on mine when i'm zoomed at certain levels but not when zoomed out. But unfortunately they don't appear to print. THIS IS A BUG... Send to support. I don't believe embedding a symbolic line in the family would help as what i believe is happening is the invisible lines that are automatically used to hide the edges of the in-fill wall when it is demolished are blocking out the display of the edges of the cut... Best temporary workaround would be to use the pick command and pick and lock detail lines to the edges in order to have them display. But definitely send to the revit support team via the subscription centre so this bug can be fixed.
