Hi everyone,

I am having a problem with a round air diffuser.  I'd like to make different types defined by duct radius, or even just one type with infinitely varying duct radius, but the first option is better.

I have drawn a profile which I sweep around a circle.  I'd like to make the sweep radius a parameter.  Any ideas?

Hope to hear, and thanks in advance!

Joe

I may have mis-stated my question.  Here is a picture to describe the problem (attached MS Word file).

I probably need to do this via revolve.  But the question will remain the same (I believe).  How do I control the size of certain geometries by parameters?

The dimension I want to parameterize is indicated on the attached.  Please if anyone can help, that'd be great news!

Maybe something like this?

you can set parameter to the arc and control it by simple formula (i.e. R1 - 2" = R2)

and lock other lines to the reference plane. and you should be able to control the profile family

Thanks...I'll look at that again.  I tried this but I can't get the reference lines working while in sketch mode.

Sorry for all the repeat posts....I think it has to do with my refresh button.
