Good morning.

I am setting up our office template for Revit, and am trying to modify the Imperial Library Grid Bubble. We use a smaller bubble radius. I opened the file "Grid Head - Circle" within the imperial library, and edited it's size and text size. But when I go to save it, and overrite the existing "Grid Head - Circle" file, I get the error pop up saying:

 "Failed to Open Document"

I hit close to this, and it pops up again saying:

"File Not Saved"

Any ideas why this is happening? Is it some sort of administrative control issue where I don't have permission to overrite these files? It does the same thing for the Level Head family.

The family you are trying to modify is read only.

So I should do a save as and call i something different? Or just right click it within my revit file, "Edit" the family, load it into project, and carry on?

I'm just concerned because this is the first project my office is attempting in revit, and I want to set up the template file tightly. Thanks for the help guys.
