What is the proper wall to use the architect's walls and assign a footing?  To date we have been drawing a structural wall from top of slab to top of footing elevation (same type of wall as architect's), and then assigning a footing to it.  We also have used foundation slabs which do not relate to the wall.  Both of these ways seem to be faking it.

Any advice would be appreciated.
