This may be a por question but ill try and explain.

Im creating a mountain home which is two stories. The first story has a flat roof, the second floor has walls that are sloped from left to right down... when i try to creat this every which way, its eather a floating flat roof, or a crazy slope.... I took time off from revit, and cant solve this simple mistake...

So like 2 walls are the same exact shape, then the sides they slop to... one side has a height of 12 the other 9...

Why wont the roof attach to the slope of the walls.... and how do i fix it

With Revit make your roof first, then make your walls then extend walls up to roof.

I know this sounds backward, but try it. in 3d view, pick a wall that is below roof.

then pick attach top/base, then pick the roof. the walls will extend up to match the slope of the roof.

if you made slope at top of wall by edit of profile, the you will not be able to use attach wall to roof.

you can reset profile of wall, then you can attach wall to roof.  this should work if you have the sloped roof like you want.

roof tips

add - negative to slope if roof slopes wrong direction.

or create roof flat then

edit roof use modify sub elements and adjust elevations at corners to get slope.

under roof properties

use base offset from level to move roof up or down from level

hope this is some help
