Hi I am trying to create the peeling paint look on the wall,  making it peel of the wall (3D) , I have attached a photo of what I am talking about - might be easier to understand.

Thank you so much for your help . I am just stuck - not sure what direction to go in.

You want to create a wall with that effect in 3D???  My advise is: use a good texture (image), don't try to create that in 3D.

Yes I want to create that in 3d - I am unable to find any image of exactly what I want - for it to pop of the wall.

I just to create simple curls not as detailed in the photo - it is going to the central piece - so needs to work Smile

Please let me know if you/anyone can thinkof something.

thanks!!!

I suppose I would start by creating a wall hosted family. Use massing, etc within the family to create the various curls and chips, etc, then load it into the project and place on the wall.

Here is an idea, I havn't tried it so I don't know how complicated it would be...

But you could model just a small piece of peeling paint in 3d, render it then take that render image and export it out as a jpeg, work it over in photoshop to turn it into a mapping image then use your newly created image as your material map.

This might give you the effect you desire.
