My project was not being worked on for a week and when I opened it up all my walls and some of my families are transparent. I know it wasn't like this last week. I have tried all the VG settings to no end. Anyone have anything like this happen or ideas on how to fix? (Revit 2011) Thanks, Key

just wanted to update: turns out my file became corrupt (i suspect from a DWG). I had to go back a week for a good file- fortunately we had not done too much work and the copy/pasting is splendid. blankety blank happens.

Interesting. It appeared that maybe you simply switched to 'wireframe' display.

I know this thread is old but I had a similar problem and found a solution... so maybe it will help someone searching the forum.
Only my walls became transparent, and it was only one wall type. No, wireframe wasn't turned on. And I checked all the view settings (furthermore, it was a problem in every view.) I have to think the family became corrupt. I, too, had recently done some DWG importing (of a survey.)
I was able to fix the problem by changing the walls to a different type. So basically, I ended up creating a new wall type that was the same as the corrupt one (not by doing a duplicate of the corrupt type though... tried that first and it didn't work, I had to create the wall type again from scratch), selected one of the corrupt walls, right clicked and chose "selects all instances in entire project," and changed all the wall instances to the new wall type.
Hope that helps someone.

I know this is an old thread but I was having the same problem. It occured after I had linked in a DWG. After trying all of the VG settings and nothing happened. I read that it could be from the DWG file. So I unloaded it and everything went back to normal. A very simple fix after I sent a lot of time going through different settings. Hope this helps someone else.
