When I try to open my file in Revit, and message pops up that says, " an error has occured while drawing the contents of this window and it shall be closed".

Anyone seen this error before or have any suggestions??

Yes, I have about 15 linked CAD objects. However, I just discovered I can't even open a new drawing in Revit. I get the same error message. Could it just be a video card issue?

This error often occurs for me when dimensioning or otherwise interacting with too many linked autocad files.  try cleaning up some of the autocad and updating the links.

In your Revit program file area, search for: "WSCommCntrData.xml.  This file sometimes gets corrupted.

Delete that file and revit will build a new one.
