Im trying to see if there is a way two do the following in ACAD MEP 2009. 1) When I draw flex duct, the size goes right in the middle of the hatching and becomes un-readable. Is there anyway to offset the size JUST on the flex duct (or) show a break in the flex duct. I know I can do it manualy but I want to do it permenantly if possible. 2) Is there anyway to put the name of the duct system on the rectangular duct only? Ie I want the ducts to say 24"x14"RA, but only on rectangular. Thanks

I'm not sure about 2009(haven't used it in a while), but you may be able to click on the annotation and apply a leader and place the annotation anywhere you want. If you are annotating automatically, that may be the problem. You might want to disable that feature and annotate manually.
