Hi there - I have a curved monolithic staircase that I need to customise a nosing for. I've created a profile (see attached file) but it will not allow me to upload the profile into a project. It will also not allow me to adjust the nosing of the staircase to anything but 'default' currently.

See attached pics for nosing profile that I intend to use on the staircase (also attached). Any wisdom/thoughts appreciated!

Thank you

I've added an image of a stair 'private' as this seems to like my profile and use it perfectly. My only problem now, is that there is no soffit under the stairs. So again, ideally I would like to create the profile on the monolithic staircase to avoid having to 'patch up' the underside of the stairs.....

 Ideas anyone? thank you

That's because you have those two small arcs in that profile, they are less that 2mm, that's why you have that error, just delete them and trim the lines, mirror that like you can see in my second image.

Thanks Typhoon -

I must be inputting something wrong as it will not let me create the nosing....I noticed in your image you have a separate material for the horizontal stair (that the nosing joins to) - perhaps this is where I need assistance? As I am just trying to change the profile for the nosing so that it runs along the front and left sides...

How did you make yours work? Thanks so much

With a little commonsense and some trial and error I've got it sorted - thank you

If you have found the error then you should say what was the error and how you fix it, in this way, other people don't need to ask, don't you think so??
Anyway, you didn't put a value in "Tread Thickness" and you can assign material in "Tread Material" and "Riser Material" too.

Indeed I do agree - I added a thickness to the tread thickness, like you mention, and this created the nosing I was after. Thanks for your help
