Hi All

Generally impressed with Revit Mental Ray, which I'm using in RAC2009 and 2010.

Glass looks great on interior views where it has something to reflect.   Looks flat on exteriors since I do not have any context buildings modeled and do not plan to.  Is there a way to add an "environment" jpg or HDRI that will reflect in the glass?  I'm not talking about a background bitmap "sky", just something to reflect on the glass.

Thanks

Something like this? place a "Decal" like you can see in my second image and turn on the "Reflectance" in your glass material.

I have tried this but the position of my camera is much further from the building, when i but the decal on the wall that is about 30ft high, the wall ends up casting a shadow because the sun is located somewhere behind me to brighten up the front of the building. Ive tried putting a line of trees behind the camera to break up the reflect horizon line on the first floor, but they dont seem to appear, an ideas? Id like to keep the camera angle, as i alredy have different angles like the one in the previously posted picture.

Tried the decal wall but placed it back alot further, used a higher setting, and heres what happened...

Theres a clear black square in the reflection which means I need to make this wall huge, but then it affects my sunlight. So i figured a simple solution was to use trees to break up that white horizon line, but they dont appear. Ive placeed them at ground level and +10' above and nothing. Why dont they show up?
