The walls of our curtain wall system are not perpendicular to the ground plane.  So when we add the curtain wall grid/mullions, they are not orthagonal.  How do you make them orthagonal?  See attached pdf of elevation of our problem.

I answer this same question in Jun 2010: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=776&start=15

The video is gone, sometimes I need to delete them because the free space i have at JING, sorry about that...

The problem is in the MASS and not in the Curtain System, how is the shape of your mass? can you post some images about that so we can see and try to help you?

The issue is the same, like I said: "The problem is in the MASS and not in the Curtain System", do this simple test: create a MASS rectangle (bottom to top), now you have to go to elevation views and create VOIDS and cut your geometry to have the same shape you posted, apply the curtain system, did this solve the problem?

No that didn't do it. I still got the same thing. I masses a 70'-0" square, 80'-0" tall. Then massed two voids to give the two slopping side. Then finished the mass. applied the curtain system to the sloped side and still get a normal grid. I would like it if, like in your example, the vertical gird lines change angle fro the sloped wall to the vertical one. If I Massed it wrong, could you maybe explain what i did wrong.

I have made the mass three different ways.

1) draw top, bottom, and lofting between.

2) draw bottom, massed to height, then made voids to get shape.

3) draw bottom, masses to height, then pushed top lines in to get the shape.

all give me the same perfectly plumb and square curtain grid.

No. I realized that I posted in the wrong page. I always get vertical mullions. i would like them to change with the shape.

i have tried changing it so there are 4 mullions by 6 mullions but they are still only vertical. sorry for the confusion.

Hmm,

Is there a way to say to Revit " I WANT THE MULLIONS TO BE VERTICAL! " ?In my case, I applied the curtain wall to the mass,  the edges of the mass are on different angles, but I want the internal mullions to be ALWAYS VERTICAL...

how can I do it?Thanks
