Hi, I hope the enlightened can help me out with the answers of two questions related to the coordination between our RAC model and the linked RST model for the remodelling of a small 2 story building with concrete ribbed slab b/w floors 1 and 2. - we asked the engineer to model the existing structure, which they did. The poured-in-place concrete stair b/w the two does not seem to have the graphical trappings of a stair when displayed in our model views, regardless of what I try to do with a custom settings in the Links section of the VG dialogue. Any suggestions? Should we recreate the perfectly valid stair that the engineers have built? Copy theirs?
- There are two columns embedded in a foundation wall, so they look like 6" deep pilasters. If I copy/monitor the wall and the columns, the architectural drawing shows them separately, not cleanly embedded like the structural does. I'd leave the structural columns up, but I am copy/monitoring them, because my exterior walls do not clean up around columns from the structural model as they do if those are native in RAC. Any ideas?
Thanks a bunch! Raffi
