How can I modify a RCP person (male and female) that comes with Revit, to show gray, and maybe translucent (sort of see thru) rather then the photo realist images that they are?

is there a way to modify the image, but keep the shape?

Under Family catagory and parameter inside family editor, you can change the render appearance source from third party to family geometry, notice that when you do, it will turn of the geometry itself since this is the factory content.

the workaround for this is to create a extrusion like a people cut out shape and apply the material to transluent material, then you should be able to use this family to create the effect.

but of course, if you bring in the image to photoshop, you can do it too
