When creating PDF's through Revit, the PDF file name includes the central file name, the users name and then the sheet number and title. Aside from setting the plot option to prompt for the file name, how can set Revit to only produce a PDF with the sheet number and title?

A typical PDF created from Revit is named A-COMP-A11_Username - Sheet - A-001 - Architectural sheet Index.pdf

All I want is A-001 - Architectural shhet Index.pdf

That process is dependent on your driver - not Revit settings.  With cute pdf, you have to name each print - no defaults at all.

I have been letting my pdf writer name the files however it wants, then going back with Bulk Rename Utility (free program for Windows) to strip out anything I don't want. It's an extra step, but it seems to be as fast as anything else.

Ack! It is a hassle to go back and constantly rename PDF's - with or without a utility. I don't believe its a PDF driver issue. It is Revit. It is picking up the central file name and user name from somewhere. Seems like if it can apend that stuff to the file name that there ought to be a way to exclude it.

I've been using the Xrev Transmit trial for the last few days, and I'm really liking it. Now I just have to convince my boss to shell out some cash before my trial runs out.
