I have just started using Revit and i'm trying to draw an old project in revit, but i'm having a problem creating a family a steel column with a profile that is shaped like #. i drew the basic shape but when i loaded it into the project it did not extrude, any ideas on how to do this thanks Dermot

In the family, please make sure the top of the extrusion has been constrained to the level. I create a rough column family, please see if this could meet your requirement.
