I work for a curtainwall company. We typically use AUTO CAD for our drawings, but we are using REVIT on a current project. The architect's bid drawings did not have firm gridlines and dimensions. She wanted them to be determined by the Revit models. We are having a terrible time getting firm dimensions. Anyone had this type of experience? We are trying to get the architect or project manager to lock the gridlines by printing a hard copy of the Revit model after everyone submits their portion. How do you typically document your drawings when you are using Revit? Thanks...

You should have no problems doing this with revit. Just dimension the grid lines. We dimension all of our curtainwalls to rough opening and grid lines. It is up to the installer to subtract for clearances around the perimeter and to verify field opening.
