Is there any reason why I would not have the option to edit my topography type? I have a site plan and I need to adjust contour generation and such but my type selector is grayed out. Any reason for this? I haven't found too much in the help menus etc. Thanks.

Topography does not have different types. If you need to adjust contours you have to edit the surface and create or move points. If you want to adjust how the contours display you need to change site settings.
