Dear All

 I hope you can help.

Here is my dilema. I wish to create a family with similar parameters as a dynamic block in auto cad. I want to produce one family with multiple people profiles with the ability to load one family with lots of different people profiles.

Can you help

As a strategy I think you need to first create a seperate family for each "profile" you want. Then you need to nest all these into a "Master" family. The Master family will need to have an instance parameter that you will use to control the visibility of the various nested families.

 Hope this makes sense?

Cheers,

Ian

There's no secret really to nested families. You just create your families as normal. And then from your "Host" family- just use the "Load Family" button to bring each one into the current family. The visibility control will be the thing- I'd need to play around with that a little to re-familairise myself with the concept.

Cheers,

ian
