Hello everyone,

Is there a way for revit to do a workset workflow for a project that links all the disciplines? Also how will you check the master file since we always have problems opening big files. An example, if we want to print the sheet sets of course you need to open the master file. Is there a better way? than breaking the project file in to sub files, what is the best approach to it? I really need help since we are about to present it to the major stakeholder as a whole. The project has around 12 buildings, the site is 1793 Ha.its a Medical City in KSA. Thanks!

 Dindo

First, I recommend that each building is a project by itself.  This allows for each building to have it's own levels and grids which may differ from each of the other buildings.

Second, I recommend that each discipline has their own project file and they link in the other project files.  This is the way Revit is meant to function.

Third, I recommend that the site be a seperate project file which is linked into the other files as required.

And finally, I suggest you have some serious consultation and training on setting up and using linked files in Revit.  This is the power of Revit but you can't jump in cold with both feet.  You will find many in this forum that successfully use Revit using the above processes and they will help here as much as they can but I caution you to go slow if you have not yet done a work-shared project.

thanks, did each building as a project itself architecturally, things are doing fine...did the worksets before on a smaller scale. my only concern is the big site file...is there a sort of batch render for showing the site model? im just preparing for the worst....thanks for the suggestion!
