I'm somewhat new to Revit so maybe this is nothing new. I had to suspend some lights out in the middle of a space far below the ceiling but these lights had no offset ajustment. I created a clear glass ceiling at the appropriate height and attached my "suspended" lights to it. The lights are at the correct height and you can not see the clear ceiling. Perhaps there is a better way but this worked great.

Actually, there is a way to do this that is not even a workaround. Just open the light family and create an adjustment parameter. You ould of course make a light that is non hosted so that you can simply hang it in space, but then you have to explain to the owner why all his lights were sitting on the floor after the contractor was done. No a much better solution is to open th family up and create an adjustment that allows you to set teh height of the light source while leaving the host position where it's at. Make sense? Questions on how to do this?

I'll make a video, but it may be later tonight before it's up. Which light family are you using?
