i have a metal support piece drawn in autodesk inventor and i am wondering if anyone knows how to import it into revit. THANKS!

Use the ADSK format to import inventor files...

Im using Inventor 2012 and Revit 2013. I made a Mobile Crane in Inventor that is constrained to raise and lower the arm, rotate the arm, extend the arm, etc.. I exported it to an .adsk file and opened it in Revit through the open building component button. It opened up with a box covering it so I exploded it to get rid of the box. My question is, is the only way to move the components in my crane, is to move them in Inventor, export it, and put it back in Revit everytime i want to make a change or is there a better way to go about this?
