I'm using Revit 2011. I would like to use a model view for some details, but Face of Concrete of the stem wall aligns with the Face of Finish of the wall above. Is there an easy way to fix this, preferable in the original modeling process? I am not dimensioning to wall centerlines because it doesn't make sense for Type V construction. I coud ignore it and use drafting view for details, but it would be nice to be more precise in the model.

very easy -- use the allign tool. Make sure you're in a fine-detail 3d view with the section box turned on, or at least, I find that the easiest way to work. slice through walls, and allign your face of concrete to the core. You might have to tab a few times to get an interior plane of a wall, but that's a small price to pay.
