Can anyone get me started or point me in the right direction on this? I have created a new pier cap (w/ piers) family and am trying to figure out how to apply concrete cover to my elemnts inside the family. I do not want to add the rebar itself into the family, but after importing into the project model I would like to be able to add rebar. For example to one on the piers. Greg

Working in Revit Structure 2011, you can control rebar cover through the properties of the family, see image. Is this what you are asking?

Is there a way to mofidy cover settings in the .rfa file? That way, I would not have to change them when I import the family.
