I have drawn a Wide Flange column starting at -1'-0" base going up 9'. I added a 18"x18" concrete column below it (acting like a pier) with a base offset of -4' up to -1'. When the pier is located with its top at -1', the column location mark shows up as the grid intersection. However if I move the top of the pier to -1'-6", the column location mark is now blank. Has anyone run into this issue or knows a fix?

Your grids no longer intersect the column. In elevations, pick your grids - make sure the switch is set to 3D - then drag them down.
