I am trying to demolish an existing window that has a sill height of 2ft. above finish floor and create an opening in the wall.  When i demolish the window it only creates an opening where there window was and doesnt take away the 2ft. below it.  I create an opening in the new conditions phase to get rid of the 2ft. wall below the window to create a full opening.  This works for the new conditions phase, but when I go back to existing conditions it does not show the wall below the window anymore.  Can you not phase openings?

Basically i just want to know how to make it where I can create an opening in the new conditions phase that doesnt effect my existing phase model.

I don't know how your question relates to the two images.

When you demo something like a door, window or an opening in a wall, REVIT will fill in the opening with the surrounding wall.  To now add a new / different window or door, just place that in the new phase and it will cut its own opening.

WWHub thank you for your quick reply.

The picture on the right shows the existing conditions.  The picture on the left shows the new conditions and my problem of the half wall still in the way of the opening i am trying to create.

I think I figured it out. I am placing a opening family in that half wall and just making the family equal to the opening width created by the demolished window and the half wall height (which was the sill height of my window).  This gets rid of the half wall below and i am able to schedule the opening family.  Is this how you would have done it?

In the plan image should I just use "cut profile" tool to mask over the infill with brick created by demolishing the existing window?
