My company works alot with water slides, in public parks. I did a topo surface of a park, and need to inlay a water slide. the one in this picture was provided to me by a water slide designers from AutoCad. I am pretty sure I can generate a slide using a 3d polyline in Autocad (I think).

My question is, is there a way in Revit 2009 (or Revit 2011) to generate a x,y,z, solid extruction, or sweep, so I can assign a slide profile along a path that curves, both in plan and section, like a water slide/

 Thanks

No need to recreate this in Revit if you can get the 3D CAD file.  Just import the slide into a Revit Family and set the materials to the CAD layers.  The CAD file should not include the site or the pool - just the slide supports... etc.

Thanks, but thats not the issue. I need to creat NEW slides. I need to do an existing condition model, showing the existing slides, and surrounding slides at this water park.

Anyone know if and how to generate an x, y, z solid sweep of some sort so I can generate water slides.

Thanks

Did you search the forums.... nope - start with this one: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=6931

I searched "3D sweep"

BTW .... This is still easier to do in CAD and import....
