I have a problem with a window (right window on attached jpg) that doesn´t cut the wall in plan view. Section and 3D-view looks fine. When I change the sill height and make it higher on the same window type (left window on attached jpg) it looks fine. What am I missing?

Regards Moa L

Your view cut plane must be above this window so when you move the window up, the cut plane then intersects it.  You can move your overall plan view cut plane, or look into using a plan region just aroud this window to have a different cut plane there.

Look up plan region in your HELP.

Thanks, but the window next to the one that isn´t displaying correctly has the same sill height and looks fine. The cut plane is also set so that the window should be cutting the wall. Or can I adjust the cutting plane for each window type?

We can't really answer your question with the information you have given us.

  1. Sill height setting in the family may not mean anything depending on who built the family.  Look at this wall in elevation and put a line where the plan cut plane is.  Does it pass through both windows ?  If you physically move the window up/down in this elevation does the "sill" height setting change in the family and really match where the window is?
  2. I only learned this one a couple of weeks ago.  Open the window family and make sure that the plan view of the window in the family actuallky cuts the window.

That last suggestion did the trick. Problem solved!

Thank you!
