Hi everyone,

Does anyone know a way to make "smart" tags for casework and door details? For example, if I change a head detail from sheet A700 and move it A701, the schedule would update that change.  Or if I changed a base cabinet from detail 1 to 4, the tag on the drawing as well as the schedule would update?

Any thought would be a appreciated.

Thanks!

If you are using Revit, the tags are already smart so I don't know what you mean.

But - schedules will not reflect detail locations.  No way to do this in a schedule.

Yes, I am using Revit 2011 version. Yes, there are smart tags for sections, details, etc. but not specifically for families mainly doors and casework.  I had a deadline last week and had to redo the schedule because the typical head detail was moved to another sheet.  Is there a way for the family itself can read that change and then put that information in a schedule?

As long as the detail is in Revit, the tag can be smart.  Works for doors, windows, casework - everything.

Can you cut a section detail in a legend component?  - no.   But you can use a true elevation of a component as your legend and cut the detail there.

Can you put a callout reference in a schedule?  NO! - something that has been on the wishlist.
