Is there any way to use the Room Area feature in Revit Structure?

I use structure as well, and just looked into my most recent file regarding this question. On the ribbon under Architect & Site, there are three buttons which are grayed out one of which is area. I believe the problem is that you must create entire room bounding situations. Which are not the normal situation when you are doing structural drawings. That is no ceilings, and usually no doors or windows only openings. These can be drawn in structure, so that may be the answer. I also use Architecture and set my rooms up in there. Hope this helps.

Revit structure does not have a ceiling feature. can I use the room area without a ceiling?
