Hello,

How can I align a Revit family with a pipe in Revit Mep?

The problem is not how to align it. But when I change te parameters of my family the pipe will not adapt. Is there a solution for this?

 Thanks in advance

You will need to provide more detail to get the answer to this question, but if you wish to align it, the family must have a plumbing connection.  If that is the case, the easiest way I have found to align pipe and the family is to use the align tool in a 3d view and click on the end of the pipe (a dot will appear in the middle of the end of the pipe) and then click on the plumbing connection within the revit family (again a dot will appear).

 Hope this helps

By this the problem in detail(simple explenation).

We have a pipe trough a wall.  When we go trough the wall we a have stainless steel plate on the wall. This is needed in clean area's. So the pipe goes know trough the plate on the wall. This means we can't use pipe connectors.

For the plate we make a family.

It isn't a problem to align them at this moment. But when we after aligning move the plate, the pipe stays at the same place.

I don't think there is a way for Revit to automatically do what you are trying to do without putting a pipe connection in the family. You will have to manually move the pipe to adjust to where you put the plate.
