 Hello....

Can we change the linetype of the dimension line?

Not that I'm aware of, only lineweight and colour controls...  Sometimes you standards will need to flex a little...

Further to this ...

Is it possible to manage the line weight or colour of (just the) dimension extension lines?  I'd like to have the extension lines either half-toned or Grey to reduce confusion between dimensions and the elements being modeled.

Change my standars? Are you serious? Revit MUST to change theirs, Revit MUST be the flexible one.

Still can't change the linetype in 2013 nor 2014?

Avex, I agree with you. It's not an easy job to get custom graphic standards to match 2D cad programs. But hopefully Autodesk with catch up and make this process easier.

Wow! What a great answer. Easy to have 12000 post just repeating what others say. Also, seems you don't like new people around. Great moderator :D

However, thanks for the answer. I hope that image don't be an override of the dimension element but a modification of the dim style instead. I will check 2014 asap.

Thank you all. Be happy.

Well, an over-ride was never excluded in any of the questions.  Wait - yours was not even a question ... or a helpful answer.  This forum is great because it has a lot of contributors asking quality questions or giving quality answers.  We do occasionally get the visitor that just wants to rant about something like you did.  I guess I should not have 'risen to the bait' but sometimes you have to expose nonsense for what it is.

Revit is NOT CAD ... thanks for that!

Oh the almighty and smartass moderators (not all of course).

Mine wasn't an answer itself because I rather not to repeat what others say just to increase the amount of posts, number that don't even mean knowledge or helpfulness.

I'm not ranting about things. It is bad to ask for improve tools and features? You just answer "revit its not autocad". Perhaps is it Acad that bad? That's your excuse to say "No, revit can't do that"? Do I have to suit and shape myself to someone's standards just because... I don't know why.

I don't want to be a visitator, I want to stay and learn, but if this is what I get asking things, in my first approach, I will be disappointed soon (I'm already).

It's ok moderator, just keeping replying "Same answer" or "Revit its not ACad" if that is what you call quality.
