When I print from Revit the file name given is:

"U of A_GFR_RST2010 - Sheet - S2-4 - CLEARSTORY (RF5) - ROOF FRAMING PLAN.pdf"

I am fine with the naming and am aware that I can manipulate the prefix and use short naming.  However, the item that is messing me up is the fact that my sheat name is S2.4 ; Not the period.  Revit automatically substitutes the period for a hyphen.  Is there a way to have the convention be consitent with my file name:

"U of A_GFR_RST2010 - Sheet - S2.4 - CLEARSTORY (RF5) - ROOF FRAMING PLAN.pdf"

Thanks

You do understand that the period is used to seperate the file name from the file type ?  Computer file naming convention.

I agree.  Many of our clients name their files the same as thier sheets.

I don't know that you can make Revit use a period instead of a dash, but there is a free program called Bulk Rename Utility that will let you change all the file names at one time, after they have been made. Very useful program, I use it constantly to change PDF names to what the architect wants to see.
