So I have an annotation that is two lines that make a t shape.  Right now I have been using reference planes to control the extents and all of the lines, but doing this makes the toggels go to the center of the family.  Is there a way, using reference lines or other, that I can keep the togels at the end of the lines?

Read up on strong references in your HELP.

WWHub, this is what I read in my help file.

"A strong reference has the highest priority for dimensioning and snapping. As you are placing the family, temporary dimensions snap to any strong references in the family. When you select the family in the project, temporary dimensions appear at the strong references."

I am not seeing how these help control where my togels show up.

Sorry but I don't understand what toggels you are talking about if they are not dimensioning?  Please elaborate.

My annotation is two lines that make a t I need to move i left and right and be able to extend it up and down, and reverse for -.  When I load the family into a project my togels to make the lines longer always are at the center of the family instead of at the end of the line.  See attached picture.  I want the toggles that extend the two lines to stay at the end of the lines rather than stay in the center of the family.

It looks like you have too many instance parameters in the family.  Everthing seems to be adjustable.  I see 6 grips and there is one at every line end so I still don't understand.

So the 4 toggels that I have boxes around control the lenght of the lines, but they float out in the middle of no where rather than being at the end of the line (in the project).  I want these lines to be at the end of the lines not in the middle of the family.

So I got to thinking, this really isn't an annotation, this is a detail component.

Yes, I figured that because annotations don't have reference planes.

Those grips are always centered on the family in both directions.  I don't see any way to modify that.

The only way I was thinking it might be possible is because in a line based family the ends to extend the line based family always stays at the end of the line, so I was thinking there might be a similar way to do this with reference lines.
