Did you have any kind of error when you "load into project"? After you create the window save it then load into project and place to a wall, or, go to Home > Windows and in Properties select that window OR in project browser expand Families > Windows and select the window and "drag" to the wall.

aa I tried again and now it works. so before I may have created something else.

but I cant figure out how to make what i want . something like the image attached. it will be basicaly wood blank window and then I want to cut triangular shapes off.. when i created mass I could work on vertical way too. in families I cant even figure out how to copy the work plane:S

please can someone explain to me?

if you could send me any information pdf's that would be great

If the wall is flat just "Edit profile" that wall and draw the shapes you want like you can see in the images attached and create a "Automaticaly Embed" curtain wall , if the wall is in curve you must use a "In-place" family (VOID) in the category wall to create that effect.

thanks typhoon!

also this video helped alot  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDWxRgC_oA0

its easier to choose wall based family and change parameters to window than do it with window family
