Hi,

I'm trying to add another linetype into a family i'm making but I can't remember how i did it last time. I've tried copying and pasting an actual line drawn in a project, into the family but the linetype just copies over as a 'detailed item'.

The only linetype styles i can choose are "<invisible>, detail item, heavy lines, hidden lines, light lines and medium lines".

Cheers for any help!

Manage tab, and object styles...

Good enough for what i need for now - can't make up custom linetypes though...

To make new linetypes go to: Manage tab - Additional Settings - Line Patterns

You can create different dash dot sequences with any length specified.

maiah this thread is 4 years old.  And the way you suggested is how to create a new line pattern NOT a linetype, there is a difference.
