in r2011 i notice there are times when I "edit/group" and there is no way to exit or save out of the edit group command.  I end up ctrl-z backing up and cant save the edit session. I've looked in all the pull downs too.  Do you know how to save out of it or why this happens?  it happened in a group that was arrayed.

Go to View - User Interface - Check Recent Files - Click Modify - User Interface - UnCheck Recent Files and it will come back.

Using Revit Structure 2011 on Win 7.

Same Problem of group window not showing.

This Recent Files Check Box worked for me.

 Thank you for this! Top work!

I'm having the same issue.

I just want to add two keyboard shortcuts i use to exit the group

FG: finish group (save changes)

CG: cancel group

Had this issue in RAC 2014. The recent files trick doesn't work. I managed to get out using the undo command several times.

Somethimes the hang-up is that there is a notification screen (a warning) that gets shuffled to BEHIND the windows/Revit screen and you need to <alt tab> to see that and clear or react to it.

In some installs, there is a file that is messed up in earlier installs.  That may be your issue.   But from one of the similar threads below, there was also this answer: "...

a shortcut

FG= finish group"
