Hi guys, I guess this is as good a place as any to ask this. Has anyone heard of a Master's degree program in BIM? It's taken me awhile to narrow down my career goals and BIM is definitely where I want to end up, but I've been looking for Master's degree programs in that subject and have found absolutely zilch, which is surprising to me since it's becoming more and more well-known and even required on some projects. There are some places offering courses related to BIM as part of other programs, and people have told me I could probably set up a custom workload, but while I am most interested in learning what needs to be learned I also don't want to have to explain to employers "Well, it's not really a degree in BIM per se, but I took some classes in it..."

I'd be willing to relocate if I can find a good program. Failing that, this would be a good thread to talk about what education you do have and where you're working now, what your job description is, etc. On my end I have a BA in 3D modeling and animation, during which I started leaning toward the architecture side of things. Out of college I marketed myself as a 3D viz guy and got a job at a small firm doing drafting and 3D massing models. Worked there for 2 and a half years, moved to Portland OR without lining up a job first, and for the past 3 years have been stuck in barely-above-minimum wage jobs. Mostly due to a lack of confidence on my part - everyone complains about the economy but I know there are jobs out there if you work to find them 24/7. I do what I can to stay active in the community through volunteerism and classes at the local community college, but I can feel my skills slipping away every day. Something's gotta give, and I can't see my self just settling for a job in another field when I have so much to offer and a passion for this work.

Anyway, didn't mean to make this a 'poor me' post, just wanted to get the ball rolling and hear about other people's experiences, what led them to where they are now and where they want to end up.

Cheers!

Thanks Waleedelewa!

I have been looking into the one you posted as well as Illinois Institute of Technology's Master of Integrated Building Delivery:

http://www.iit.edu/arch/programs/graduate/mibd/

which is only 2 semesters long!

How about it Revit City? Any other programs out there? These are the only two I've found so far...
