I've downloaded the .stl export add-on for Revit 2011 and will be attempting my first 3D print later this week. As I build my Revit model, I'm looking for tips/tricks for handling problems that others have found. Specifically, how are wall/floor/roof layers viewed by the .stl file conversion? Is it better to use generic wall/floor/roof components? It is an existing brick building with many level changes and openings. I will be printing at 1:10 and 1:30 for various site plan models. Also, exporting topo from Revit to .stl file: Can it be done? Thanks for the help all!
