Is there a way to align a window to the wall's core exterior? I'm creating some custom window families, and I haven't found a good solution for this. I ended up adding a 'setback' parameter to adjust for, say, a brick exterior, but this doesn't seem like the ideal way.

You need to build your family around a reference plane and use a setback dimension from the face of the wall. HINT- Create the reference plane well to the inside of your wall then label that dimension and build your window. Now flex this window location to something reasonable.

Thanks. I think that's basically what I'm doing. So there's no automatic way of doing this?
