Working in Revit Structure 2011. I have a column attached to a footing. When the column is selected two options appear regarding column attachements: "Attach Top/Base" or "Detacth Top/Base". I want to detach the column from the footing but Revit directs me to "Select the roof, floor, ceiling, beam, reference plane, or level to wh ich the selected columns should be detached". Unfortunately Revit will not let me select the footing to detach the column from. Is there a way to detach a column from its footing? The only way I can do it is delete the column and redraw.
