We are debating the issues between doing a Partition Schedule and a Graphic Legend. Some people in our office really want the Legend and others the shedule. We have notice flaws and benefits of both. Schedules are "smart" and update themselves but might be less clear without the image. In Legends the tags are not "smart" and will not update! This is a HUGE issue and I hope Revit will change this in the next release. But it might be to late for us! We must decide on an office standard! I would like anyones opinion. How you are doing them in your office? Thank you

good question- i'm having the same dilemma in our office as well. the graphic schedule is what i would like to show, but not being able to dimension to the partition faces makes it worthless to me. i'd like to see some more responses on this one. what works well? what are some of the benefits/problems?

For now we simply replicated our old AutoCAD methodology and use drafting views to show each wall type. We choose this method since as you have pointed out Revit does not yet have a method that works for us. I would suspect though that in a few months that might change. When using Revit you have to be flexible and adopt new methods when they become available. I have no direct knowledge of what is coming in 9.0, but I have heard it starts to more fully address the issue of completing CD's. Tom
