we are beginning to use curtain walls, and have practiced a little in revit's own template, but when we draw a curtain wall in our own template file, it has these odd looking boxed grid patterns sitting to one side. i cannot find any global setting that might relate to this. does anybody have a clue why it looks wierd please? have attached a screen shot.

Latemore, Looks fine to me... As you can see with the system panel in the template the glazing is shown rediculously thick and also offset from the centre of the curtain grid, so you may wish to adjust the system panel settings: In the project browser-->Families-->Curtain wall Panels As the grids to the curtain wall are actually planes they always show extended when selected as you show in your pic... HTH.

hi mr spot i may have found what you referred to - in curtain systems there is an offset field, which for some reason was set at 100mm. i changed it to 0, and the weird look dissappeared. thanks for you help. will need to study curtain walls a lot!
