Can you draw a grid line straight down and then bend it 45 degrees and keep the same # / letter?

no, you cant. But you can fake it with a little dot in a side of it.

Anyways, you shouldnt do that, unless is a curved-single wall like this

I have a similar issue: I need to create a grid-line that is a half circle with tangents that extend. Revit lets me create the half circle but I'm not sure how I can create what I need to do without faking something.  Any suggestions?

Think about this!  A grid line has a fixed location and objects are referenced off it.  How can a grid line do that if it is a combination of geometry?  It is a poor process!

Use a grid line for the defined arc and seperate grid lines for the straight line segments. They could be identified as a progression or subset.

That's what I ended up doing. Just so you know, this is an as-built drawing for a project completed pre-revit and pre-cad for that matter. Thanks for your input anyway, and I'm sorry that you think that it is a poor process. Cheers.
