hello

created my project, added the rooms etc., then i realized i needed to move and rotate it. for whatever the reason all the area and room tags got screwed up. i deleted all of them from the project, i went into the schedule to do so. now i try to add new room tags it starts at whatever the last room created was. save manually typing in a new number, is there a way to reset the number count? i will need to do this for doors as well i think.

 thanks

On automatic numbering like rooms and doors, Revit starts from the last one created.  So to reset this, place your first room and renumber it.  Now Revit will continue with that number.

BTW... that first number could be 100  \(first floor) and then when you start onm the second floor, it could be 200.

I'm pretty sure that there is a 3rd party plug-in for Revit that will renumber all your doors and windows for you, if you have created a gap in the sequence. Just do a google search and I'm sure it will show up quickly enough.

Regards,

Ian

thanks. i changed the numbers to what i want to start with on each floor and it works well. it is a bit frustrating though if i want to go back and insert a room. so i'll look for the plug-in.

thanks!
