Do you remember how we created blocks in AutoCad?  Is there a way to do that with Revit?  Thanks!

We have something much more powerful in Revit than blocks.  They are called families.

OK, thanks.  Let me research this method a little bit deeper.  I will get back to you if I need additional help.

So we'll be seeing alot from you then : )
Here's a bit of info to kick off your experience.
Families are like AutoCAD Dynamic Blocks on steriods.
Families can be 2d, 3d or annotative.
Just about everything in REVIT is a 'family'.
These are all samle families: Title block, section bubble, chair, dimensions, north arrow, roof, footing etc. all 'families'.
Families can be nested and dynamically controlled within other families.
Some families are 'system' familes and have special powers.
System familes cannot be created from scratch, they have to be 'duplicated' or cloned to create a new type.
Families are broken down into 'categories'.
Before you dive into families read up on 'categories'.
REVIT does not have AutoCAD layers either, so much of the visibility control is tied to the 'category' or 'sub-category'.
Window is a category. Sash, frame, glass are sub-categories of window.
You cannot create new categories but you can create sub-categories.
