In elevation view, I have placed a wall sweep (a wood base) on a wall. It looks fine, except that the sweep continues right through to the room adjacent and ignores the wall separating the two rooms. The wall the sweep is on is a generic 1' 10" wall that is continuous from room to room. The wall separating one room from another is a generic 5" wall. What am I doing wrong with either creating the wall sweep or the walls? I am thinking that it must have to do with the fact that the 1' 10" wall is continuous, but it seems silly to break up this exterior wall every time it intersects an interior partion wall just so the wall sweeps will terminate as they should. Any advice?

you are correct on all points. you can drag the ends of the sweep around and add more if you like, then you wouldn't have to split the wall.
