Has anyone tried to export a revit model to an FEA Analysis program such as Ansys before? If so how do you get reinforcing bar to appear in the transferred mmodel?

I am not framiliar with FEA Analysis programs, but two things you may look at to see are: 1) Was the rebar created with the "Area" or "Path" tool for rebar? If they are, that could be why they wont export. 2) Go into a 3D view...select all the rebar and make sure that it is shown extruded in the 3D view, then export out using that 3D view, from what I remember the rebar has to be extruded in the view to export out correctly.
