I'm having trouble with loading in my families. It's becoming a problem when I click on component to load something else and the last thing I loaded comes up. If i push escape it gets rid of it but the next time I try to load something in, even though I select it and select open, it still loads the last item put into the floor plan. Has anyone else experienced this and do they know a way around it? I've ben having to exit out of the entire program. I tried closing the project and re-opening it but the same thing happens still. What to do...

Your problem is caused because you are not in the correct view to place you last loaded item.  For instance, most furniture items can not be placed in an elevation view.

I bet this is a structural item.

Well, I am always in first floor view because that is grade level. I can't use the 3D view or anything else evidently. I press component. The objects it was messing up with was a fireplace and a dining set. The fireplace was the last thing i put in and when I selected to place a dining table in, which i had done before with the same dining set, it caused that issue. I don't think the view was what was messing it up, thought that would be a factor.
